My buying experience was good. But after that? Nothing much else good to say! I made an appointment back in June for an oil change and had to wait until the end of August to get an appointment. This day I was practicing patience and so waited a full 2 hours before checking on my car - Only to walk out and not believing my eyes - my car was in the same place that I parked it! He said - he forgot to register me in the computer!! Say what? And did I have several more hours to wait - Absolutely not. They did agree to give me the oil change free of charge...So I made another appt and had to wait until October - this was the end of August - This time the appt time was incorrect - so I had to reschedule again for end of Oct- at this point I now need my car inspected - and have very little confidence in what my experience will be. Unfortunately for me - I love my car - but absolutely disappointed over the customer service and lack of concern for my time.. Sitting here thinking about the whole terrible experience - I thought that I would share my experience in hopes that THIS 3rd time I go - I will have a much better experience. Shawn Herman was extremely knowledgeable of the vehicle I chose. I have purchased many vehicles, and he was the first salesman that was not pushy in any way, only helpful. I highly recommend the salesman at number one cochran.
Tried calling several times to get an appointment for service and no answer. Went to the service department and they guy was a total jerk, no help at all. Avoid this place unless you are looking for aggravation.
I need to preface this review by saying I know nothing about Credit Scores, and the lady I talked to was completely nice the whole time. That being said I feel I was messed around with. I called in asking about a car and the saleswomen took my information. My credit score started to be checked....and again...and up to 8 times. I tried to maintain contact with the Saleswoman, i understand they were trying to get me financing but to run a credit check 8 times. There should be a guard against that. Finally 7 days passed. I called the store directly and got another salesperson. They said it only takes 2-3 days before they get back with a decision. The Saleswoman claimed she was out of the office 3/7 days, let me know it wasnt her fault because she passed it onto a "Special Finance Manager". Finally had to call and tell them to stop checking my credit. I would not use this location of Hyundai, or if you do, make sure you talk to an actual sales person and not the concierge.
I bought a new ioniq5 from Cochran. Good experience with the salesman. I live 50 miles away. I tried to call service about a charging issue. Left message, got no call back. Called a second day. Left a message, got no call back. Called third day. Left a message with service and got no call back.
The worst car shopping experience I’ve ever had. I inquired online about a car and Shawn reached out. I told him straight up I wanted to purchase the car (didn’t even negotiate the price), have my own financing, but I can’t come up to the dealership for a few days because I’m two hours away and have young kids so what needs to be done to hold the car? He tells me there’s no way he can hold a vehicle. I explain he can process the sale, send bill of sale to my bank for loan approval, I can e sign whatever he needs, etc. He absolutely refuses and says management won’t allow it. I call back a few days later and speak with someone who tells me it’s no problem to hold a vehicle and all they require is a $500 deposit. I ask her why Shawn didn’t tell me that and she actually said, “he was probably trying to sell it to someone else that day instead.” I ask her to please process the sale for me and she takes all of my info and documentation including my debit card info for the deposit. She confirms that the vehicle is in fact still available. She says she will call back in a bit to process my card. Hours go by and I hear nothing so I reach out to her and she says, “sorry, I just found out that vehicle sold last night.” I asked why she told me it was available if it wasn’t and she says “it was a misunderstanding”, even though I asked her to confirm the stock number with me to ensure we were both looking at the same vehicle. At this point I’m asking to speak to the sales manager and someone named Susan keeps trying to put off transferring me to him. I tried multiple times to reach out to each of the two sales managers (Mike and Jim I believe) but they never answered or returned my message. Sale yourself the headache and frustration and go LITERALLY anywhere else.
No games just straight talk. Shawn Herman was a true professional helping us pick the right vehicle for our needs.
Took my Hyundai Elantra Hybrid in for service. Went to service desk they had all my info in computer. Dan asked for my keys and stated he was moving car around back and would call when done. This took appro 2 minutes at best. Went back when called advisor went over new key fob and went around back and moved car to front door for me. This lasted at best 10 minutes. What else could you ask for ?
one of the worst repair experiences i’ve ever had, if not the worst. came in to get some recalls fixed for free, and it turned into a $700, 4 week process. after 4 hours on my first visit, they told me they needed to order a part and it would be a week. i didn’t hear back for 2 weeks, and they finally brought me in to install it at 3 weeks. just to have me sit for an hour and tell me they have to do it another day because they messed their schedule up. came back a week later and sat for another 3 hours for them to install 1 part. would not recommend this dealership for anything. EDIT: I had to schedule another appointment because after driving for 3 days, the Check Engine Light came on again. I brought it in and told them, and they said that what they did the first time wasn’t correct, that they need to replace something else to fix it, and it’s gonna be $2700. when i told them i would like reimbursed for the unnecessary work done, they said they would have their Service Manager, Ed call me to figure out a solution. no call for 2 days, so I called. Ed proceeded to tell me that he could reimburse me $41, and that it’s not his problem. He then told me that he has a real problem with me for “hiding behind a screen” and leaving a bad review. He ended the call by saying he’s not doing anything for me, and i will certainly never be returning here.
Terrible experience- dishonest management and salesperson. They do not value your time and are not honest with car values. If you don’t mind wasting half of your day, dishonest people, and feeling disappointed that a dealership plays tricks, then I would say this is the dealership for you. Otherwise, value your time and worth, and find a dealership with good people that aren’t out to play tricks on others.
Shawn was very knowledgeable and helpful in my search for a car. He was able to quickly find what I wanted and help me through the purchase of my first car. I had a wonderful experience and would absolutely go back!

So far so good. My salesman was Shawn Herman and he was outstanding. In 2019 i was in the market for a new vehicle and the Palisade was at the top of my list. Shawn was my salesman. Circumstances dictated that I didn’t make my purchase until 20 months later. Shawn was as considerate 20 months later as he was on day one. At only 3000 miles I haven’t needed any service yet so I can’t comment on anything beyond the sales team.
I worked with Shawn and he was amazing from the beginning to end of my purchase. I truly appreciate his attentiveness, patience and honest feedback. Each chance I get I truly thank him for keeping me updated as well as checking in. I would refer everyone I possibly can to Shawn. The entire dealership has been wonderful. Highly recommend.

He was very helpful and responsive with an issue I was having with renewing my registration MONTHS after I bought the car. I have been recommending him to everyone in the market for a new car! What happened to this dealership? I have had previous mostly positive experiences with Cochran Hyundai in the past. However, in attempting to buy out my leased 2018 vehicle I have run into horrible service and a comedy of errors. To say nothing about the required “Safety Inspection” on a just State inspected vehicle which amounts to a money making scam in my opinion. I still have not gotten an appointment for the inspection and I will continue to post here and other places.
It’s really sad!! Each time I take make car their they will find something wrong which is not true, just to make money. This time, I checked my car and replaced all it needs to be replaced then took my car for pa inspection. They mass with my brakes which are new and said need brake fluid which I did it just 2 days before. After the inspection, I took my car, the same day I had a problem (engine light sign). Now , I have to take it somewhere else. Each time I take it there, they do something to my car just to make me going back. Sick and tired about this philosophy. Unprofessional guys
Worst experience I ever had with dealership, still waiting since June 9 for our check from trade and the bill of sale, ridiculous, should of sold my car to another dealer with instant check, said bill of sale was sent last week , how long does it take from monroeville to new Kensington? I get orders from Walmart in 2 days, very hard getting in touch with the 2 people involved in the sale of the car we bought. Very frustrated with this dealer would never buy another car there.
Never ever again! Dealt with 2 salesman, neither followed up with me in regards to a Used Cadillac. Left message for Sales Manager & he as well never called. Apparently they have enough business! A month of aggravation trying to trade in my vehicle for a used Cadillac. Salesman finally got back to me with some numbers. I was going to hopefully finalize the deal. Guess what I was informed the vehicle was gone. Never notified that there was any interest from anyone else. Honestly stay away! You’re just a number to them.... I’ll take my business elsewhere. Someone that truly cares about helping you!!! HORRIBLE
I want to tell you about the outstanding work of Chris Piro and Shawn Herman. These two employees are professional, courtesy and extremely knowledgeable. We purchased several automobiles from Chris and Shawn and I highly recommend them to anyone buying at their location.
We were amazed at the outstanding customer service we received at Cochran Hyundai. Jeff, Shawn, and Taylor went above and beyond to make us satisfied with our purchase. In fact, when We told others about our service they asked if this was due to a prior experience. We said, no this was our first time dealing with Cochran Hyundai! Definitely would recommend!
I was not treated nicely. I got attitude and was also accused of shutting down all dealerships and costing jobs of employees because my mother was trying to purchase a car for me. I’m a single mother and she helps me out and we didn’t know the steps to buy it because she just moved out of state. They said nasty comments and horrible accusations. I dont really want to buy anything from there again!
When my wife and I went to the dealership we initially dealt with Don. Don was great. He was very good about showing us exactly what we were paying for and where the money goes. We arrived at a price, but my wife wanted to think about it for a day or two as it is her car. When she decided she called Don and told him, but he wouldn't be available because he had a family emergency. He asked us for some info via text to make sure all we had to do was go in and sign for the car. When we came back to the dealership to buy the car Isaiah was the salesman who was helping us. I told him numerous times that we had already arrived at a price with Don, but he made no effort to find the paperwork Don had done. He just made excuses which was frustrating because we had to go through the process of haggling over the price of the car again and he wasn't easy to work with like Don was. He spent a good hour trying to push us into using the dealership's financing instead of our own (I went to our credit union to get preapproved for a loan before looking for a car). He dodged a lot of our questions and tended to ignore my wife even though she is the one who will be driving the car. By the time he finally stopped trying to push us into changing the financing we would use, my credit union was closed for the day and we couldn't purchase the car that day. We told him we'd com back the next day and finish up. We were outside the dealership in our own vehicle and about to go home he quickly came out of the building and told us we "MUST" buy the car today using the dealership's financing or else the price would go up. I found this tactic of trying to strong arm us into using their financing very rude. His reason was incentives or rebates applied to the sale may run out tomorrow. I went back into the building to talk with his manager. The manager told me even if the rebate ran out they would still honor a price they gave us. We came back the next business day to pick up the car. About a week later we received a phone call from the dealership saying there was a problem with the extended warranty we purchased and we needed to come in and sign more paperwork. Which I had to take time off work to do, but we were told it had to be done. About two weeks after that (during the covid quarantine conveniently when we can't speak to anybody in person at the dealership) we received an email from the dealership's accountant named David who told us there is $2000 "missing" from the sale of the car and we are responsible for paying this. No explanation was given for what happened or why we owed more money. Attached in that email was paperwork from the sale of the car which was so poorly scanned it was not legible. I called David and asked for an explanation as to why we owed more money and the questioned the illegible paperwork. He didn't have an explanation for what happened and simply refused to look into it. I debated with him insisting I needed to know why were were paying more money 3 weeks after the sale of the car had been completed. I needed to know what we're paying for and he simply told me "you signed the sales agreement". Angry and frustrated my wife decided emailing the owner was the next logical step. That was several weeks ago and the owner has been unresponsive. My wife and I are concerned that there is nothing stopping the dealership from coming back again and asking for more money. I find it extremely unprofessional and disappointing how this was all handled. The sale of this car was very shady, difficult and stressful. Furthermore, this was my wife's first new car and it has been completely ruined by the dealership. She can't enjoy after dealing with David and is upset whenever she drives it. I would highly recommend finding another dealership.
Purchased a used 2018 sonata yesterday. My sales guy Lou was perfectly fine. We talked to warren at 3:00pm told us we where approved and to come in and sign. We set 5:00 as the appointment time. When i talked to warren he assured us that the car was getting prepared and would be ready when we arrived. We arrived around 5:10pm and started the paperwork right away. I asked multiple times about the whereabouts of the vehicle and got no answer. Lou tried to locate the vehicle and was told it was getting prepared washed an (ect). The paperwork was complete in about 30 mins. Congratulations but no car. Ok so we walked the lot to find the car. We finally get to the car and there it is in the same place we seen it a week ago. We walk around the car and its filthy. I turned to Lou and he agreed thats unacceptable and should've been taken care of. He get someone to take the car to be washed. We wait patiently for and hour and still no car. Lou goes to speak with manager and he storms out of office past all the customers and employees in showroom. He goes up to detailing place im assuming to figure out the problem. He returns 10mins later very upset, annoyed and asked for the spare which they gave us already. We gave it to him and i asked to speak with him and was blown off as he went back to detailer. He came back with car and blamed his employee for everything.He gave the keys to me and walked back his office. I walked to his office and knocked on the door and asked to speak, he came out and i told him the car was still dirty, the inside was not detailed, the rims where still dirty, and i explained i was not happy with waiting an hour and half for the car that was supposed to be washed and prepared prior to us coming the the dealer. He told me to bring the car back at 12 tomorrow if i wanted a wash. As a manager he never expressed any good customer service and seemed pretty pissed off at me. I would like to be treated like i just bought a vehicle and not have my significant other feeling like we should've took our business elsewhere.
Courteous friendly Satisfied with cars performance and explanation of features from Vic. Fun car to drive. After considering several other cars this was the best deal for our needs
